The Conversion API is server-side tracking that sends conversion events directly from your server to Meta — bypassing browser-based limitations (iOS 14 restrictions, ad blockers, cookie blocking). It works alongside the Pixel to deduplicate events and restore missing conversion data.
On average, 30–50% of purchases are invisible to Meta without CAPI on iOS devices. For a store reporting 100 purchases in Meta, the real number could be 150–200. This directly affects how well Meta's algorithm can optimise.
Shopify has a native CAPI integration that handles basic server-side events. However, proper deduplication, Aggregated Event Measurement prioritisation and custom event configuration requires technical knowledge to implement correctly.
Meta rates your tracking quality 0–10. A score above 6 is the minimum for good algorithm performance. We configure customer information parameters (email hash, phone hash, address) to maximise this score.
3 business days from access granted to full implementation and verification. We use the Test Events tool to confirm every event is firing and being correctly attributed before declaring the setup complete.
