DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) is an Incoterm where the seller/shipper is responsible for all costs and risks until the goods are delivered to the buyer's door — including export clearance, freight, import customs clearance and duties. You get one all-in price with no surprises.
Sea freight is 5–8× cheaper than air freight but takes 25–35 days from China to UK ports. Air freight takes 5–10 days but costs significantly more. We advise based on your urgency, order weight/volume and product margins.
UK import duties vary by product type (HS code). We calculate the exact duty rate during planning. Most consumer goods attract 5–12% import duty plus 20% UK VAT. DDP includes all of this in one price.
25–35 days factory to UK warehouse under normal conditions. Port congestion or customs holds can add time. Air freight takes 5–10 days.
